Practice Based Research Network

The Great Lakes Research into Practice Network (GRIN), greater Michigan’s primary care practice-based research network, is a partnership between the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. GRIN is dedicated to continued growth and development of the field of primary care medicine and recognizes that research must focus on the questions being encountered by primary care clinicians in their practices. GRIN research addresses a wide range of issues related to primary care practice and policy, including:

  • Quality, costs, and outcomes of primary care.
  • Patient-provider communication.
  • Workforce issues.
  • Behavioral health interventions.

We partner with a variety of investigators, teams, clinics, Physicians Organizations and community partners to develop projects that advance the landscape of primary care practice and/or improve the quality of life of patients served by primary care physicians.  For more information please visit our web site at grinpbrn.org.
