Family Medicine

The University of Michigan Health System's Department of Family Medicine is a nationally recognized leader in patient care, education, and research. Since the Department was founded in 1978, our presence has exemplified the principles of family medicine and promoted them throughout the Health System.

Our Residency Program Residents' outstanding performance on the recent In-Training Exam and the 100% pass rate for residency graduates on the ABFM Certification Exam demonstrates the quality of Family Medicine residents and of the teaching and training at U-M.

Family Medicine Participates in UMHS Quality Month Event

It’s October, which means it is Quality Month, as designated by the National Associate for Health Care Quality. Family medicine faculty and staff completed four quality projects for the annual UMHS Quality Month event. They presented their findings at a poster session today.
