Dean’s Awards Program for Staff

The Medical School Dean’s Awards Program for Staff is designed to give special recognition for distinctive service to the Medical School. A staff selection committee reviews nominations and advises the Dean. Nominees must have a Medical School appointment and meet the criteria for the category of nomination.

Please note: Nominations are due Friday, June 13, 2014.

There are three award categories:

  • Administrator of the Year
This award is open to all staff members classified in the Managerial Job Role. The top award of $1,500 will be conferred upon the staff member who demonstrates superb leadership in the management of other staff, as well as exceptional operational excellence and stewardship of the resources of the Medical School. The winner will have a documented record of achievement in creating a positive and productive work environment for employees, and be recognized as a positive force and team-builder outside of his/her own unit. Nominees should be active in local and national organizations. Top nominees will be easily recognized as stellar citizens of the Medical School who uphold our values of respect, compassion, trust, integrity, efficiency and leadership. Honorable mention awards of $500 each will be conferred upon up to three managerial staff.

Woolliscroft, M.D., describing the contributions and accomplishments that qualify the individual for nomination (Note: For letters longer than one page, only the first page will be considered); and three letters of support, including at least one from outside of the nominee’s unit.
