Postdoctoral Fellows

A female U-M researcher at the bench

The University of Michigan Medical School’s postdoctoral program consists of over 600 scholars from all of the basic science and clinical departments.  Our focus is to help each fellow become a successful, independent scientific professional, while connecting you with the abundant resources available within your department, laboratory, and across campus.

We coordinate with the U-M Postdoctoral Association (UMPDA), Rackham Graduate School, the International Center, and mentors throughout the U-M Medical School and the Health System to help each fellow realize their full potential by providing networking and collaboration opportunities, a variety of career development sessions, and community-building events.  Along with the UMPDA, we serve as a voice for postdocs in university and nation-wide policy discussions.

We believe that postdoctoral fellows are the heart and soul of research at Michigan and we look forward to working with you as you become one of the leaders and best.

We are looking for outstanding scientists to join our postdoc community and host two annual recruitment events for selected participants.
