    As an Adult Cardiothoracic Fellowship trained anesthesiologist, I excel in perioperative management of complex cardiac and thoracic cases, including myocardial revascularization, valve repair and replacement, minimally invasive approaches to valve replacement, heart failure management with percutaneous and permanent right and left ventricular assist devices, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and thoracic transplantation including combined en bloc heart-lung and heart-liver transplantation, and adult congenital patients. Additionally, as a board certified advanced perioperative transesophageal echocardiographer, I provide comprehensive diagnostic and monitoring of the complex cardiothoracic patient. Furthermore, I am a Critical Care Fellowship trained anesthesiologist well versed in recognizing and managing acutely ill adult patients with single or multiple organ system failure requiring ongoing monitoring and support specifically in the specialized setting of the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit.

    Research Overview

    I have many research interests including clinical outcomes after mechanical circulatory support for post-cardiotomy shock, clinical outcomes after temporary RVAD support during durable LVAD placement, the impact of continuous ScVO2 monitoring during CRRT on volume management, leukocyte filtration modulation of the inflammatory cascade while on cardiopulmonary bypass to manage vasoplegia, sepsis-induced coagulopathy, changes in RV strain after modified Ross procedure, and resuscitative effect of Centhaquin.
