Medical Students

Our department provides medical students with a comprehensive clinical experience within the field of anesthesiology. We encourage active learning through required reading, frequent tutorials and small group discussions. Students also observe and take part in the care of patients.  For more information, please see:

Anesthesiology Interest Group (AIG)

We also have our Anesthesiology Interest Group (AIG), a medical student organization designed to expose students to the field of anesthesiology. To allow early exposure to anesthesia and networking, students have the opportunity to shadow anesthesia residents in the operating rooms as well as meet with anesthesia chiefs throughout their M1 through M4 years. The group also offers a yearly informational meeting at the anesthesia Chair's house, where faculty members discuss professional opportunities.
