Teri A. Grieb, Ph.D., appointed associate dean for research strategy in the Medical School

Grieb, a research assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, will provide expanded strategic, tactical and operational leadership of the research enterprise across the academic medical center of the University of Michigan.

The U-M Board of Regents on Dec. 3 approved the appointment of Teri A. Grieb, Ph.D., as associate dean for research strategy in the Medical School, effective December 1, 2020. Over the past 10 years, she has played an increasingly crucial role in supporting the school’s biomedical research operations and developing strategic research initiatives.

Grieb’s faculty appointment is in the Department of Anesthesiology as a research assistant professor. She has been senior director for research in the Office of Research since 2010, and managing director of the Michigan Institute for Clinical Health Research (MICHR) from 2010-16.
