    Paul Reynolds, MD, FAAP, is a Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology, and the former Associate Chair of the Department, Section Chief of Pediatric Anesthesiology, and M-Plan Director of the Children’s and Women’s Operating rooms. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his medical degree from Wayne State University. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at the University of Michigan. After practicing pediatrics for 1 year in Ann Arbor, he returned to the University of Michigan, and completed a residency in Anesthesiology, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology. In 1992, he was made Chief of Pediatric Anesthesiology, a position he held for 30 years. He is board certified in Pediatrics, Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology. He has mentored over 175 pediatric Anesthesiology fellows and been involved in training almost 1000 anesthesiologists. He has given more than 65 lectures as a visiting professor, extramural presenter, course co-director, or moderator, both nationally and internationally, on topics including pediatric airways, adults with congenital heart disease, congenital heart disease and pediatric trauma, with hundreds of presentations institutionally on similar topics. Dr Reynolds has published over 45 peer reviewed articles and 8 book chapters. He helped design the operating rooms, and well at the cardiac catheterization suite, and the MRI suite in the new Children’s Hospital that opened in December of 2011. He is also a former Trustee on the Pediatric Anesthesiology Leadership Council.
