Areas of Interest

Our research is focused on developing new tools and methods aimed at determining the three-dimensional structure and stability of proteins and multi-protein assemblies important in biology and medicine. Most of our technology development centers on ion mobility-mass spectrometry (IM-MS), which is an approach that can measure both the mass and the size of biomolecules in the gas phase. Our long-term goal is to develop new and innovative approaches that integrate IM-MS with other structural biology tools and solve some truly challenging problems in the field of structural genomics.
