Romila received her Ph.D. from Loyola University Chicago under the guidance of Dr. Dali Liu, where her research focused on using X-ray crystallography and other biochemical techniques to provide structural insights into the catalytic mechanisms and regulation of enzymes that have promising biotechnological and biomedical applications. As a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Ruma Banerjee, she is researching the mechanism of human vitamin B12 trafficking to its cytoplasmic target, methionine synthase.
