Dr. Rachel Plumb Awarded a Kirschstein-NRSA Postdoctoral Fellowship from the NIH

Rachel Plumb, a postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory of Ryan Baldridge, has received a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) for her project "Quality Control in the Secretory Pathway". Rachel received her Ph.D. in 2017 from Yale University, where she studied the Unfolded Protein Response in mammalian cells in the laboratory of Malaiyalam Mariappan. From 2017-2018, Rachel was a lecturer at Yale. She joined the Baldridge lab in 2018, where she is working to identify mechanisms of substrate recognition in Endoplasmic Reticulum-Associated Degradation (ERAD).
