April Kaneshiro and Cara Loomis win awards at the Midwest Enzyme Chemistry Conference

Two Biological Chemistry graduate students received special recognition for their poster presentations at the 41st Midwest Enzyme Chemistry Conference (MECC), which took place virtually on October 23, 2021. Outstanding Poster Awards in the graduate student category went to April Kaneshiro, a Ph.D. student mentored by Neil Marsh, Ph.D., for her poster "Transient Kinetic Analysis of Ferulic Acid Decarboxylase (FDC) Indicates Half-of-Sites Reactivity" and to Cara Loomis, a Ph.D. student mentored by Emily Scott, Ph.D., for her poster "Redox Partner Adrenodoxin Alters Cytochrome P450 11B1 Ligand Binding and Inhibition."
