About Pulmonary Care

The clinical focus of our division is respiratory disorders (diseases such as asthma, emphysema, lung infections, pulmonary fibrosis, and lung cancer; and symptoms such as shortness of breath and cough) and critical illness (conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, and multiple organ failure). Our mission is to deliver outstanding patient care, to develop new knowledge about the lung in health and disease, and to train individuals to be outstanding clinicians and researchers. We are proud to be recognized around the world for our excellence in all of these realms. Clinicians within the division deliver care at the University of Michigan Medical Center, the Ann Arbor Veterans Association Medical Center, and at outpatient clinics throughout Southeast Michigan.
