Please join us for the 7th Annual Cancer Biology Program Retreat at Maumee Bay Lodge and Conference Center with guest speaker Dr. Jedd Wolchok, MD, PhD, Chief, Melanoma and Immunotherapeutics Service; Member and Attending Physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center .

The 7th Annual Cancer Biology Program Retreat, to be held at Maumee Bay Lodge/Conference Center near Toledo, Ohio along the shore of Lake Erie, will take place on Friday morning – Saturday afternoon, September 13-14, 2019. Please save the dates.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jedd Wolchok, MD, PhDChief, Melanoma and Immunotherapeutics Service; Member and Attending Physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center will be our keynote speaker. Physician-scientist Jedd Wolchok investigates novel approaches for cancer immunotherapy and mechanisms of tumor cell–immune cell interactions. He has been at the forefront of cancer immunotherapy, as an active clinician scientist exploring innovative immunotherapeutic strategies in laboratory models and as a principal investigator in numerous pivotal clinical trials.

Tentatively, the retreat begins Friday afternoon with lunch and concludes Saturday afternoon with a final lunch. You can expect faculty, student, postdoc oral presentations, and a keynote talk; poster session/reception; bonfire/trivia game; free time with bonding activities, etc. 

All retreat expenses (i.e. meals, lodging, resort activities, chartered bus transportation to/from) will be paid for by the Cancer Biology Program for Cancer Biology Program faculty, graduate students, Cancer Biology T32 fellows, and postdocs in the labs of Cancer Biology faculty who are selected to present their research.
