If you have an interest in diversity, equity and inclusion events and efforts at and around Michigan Medicine, you are invited to join the conversation on Twitter, whether you are currently active on social media or not.

On Tuesday, July 14 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Ed Bottomley, social media strategist for Michigan Medicine, along with the Office for Health Equity and Inclusion, will host a virtual social media ambassador training to navigate the dos and don’ts of a professional social media account and exactly what it means to be a DEI social media ambassador

How it works

Following the social media ambassador training, you will start your professional Twitter account (or make the appropriate modifications to you current Twitter account) and begin following colleagues, friends, and thought leaders in your respective field or interests.

Diversity, equity and inclusion is an international conversation, so don’t limit yourself. Tweet and join conversations that spark your interest and expertise.

Share what Michigan Medicine is doing

As Michigan Medicine colleagues and departments share on social media their research, initiatives and other relevant content, share with your audience and use the branded hashtag: #DEImichmed. The hashtag keeps content and conversations connected!
