Himani received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont in Neuroscience before heading off to work in industry at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals for almost 7 years as a Scientist. During her time there she dove into the immuno-oncology space working on in vitro and in vivo characterization of payload expressing oncolytic viruses in a variety of cancers, as well as optimizing cell-based assays for screening drug targets. Concurrently, she completed her Masters of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from New York Medical College which drove her to continue her endeavors and join the Cancer Biology PhD Program. At the University of Michigan, she joined the Moon Lab which conducts translational research and develops new immunotherapies and vaccines at the interface of immunology, pharmaceutics, and engineering.
