Biography

I graduated with honors from Stanford University in 2023 with a B.S. in Human Biology with a concentration in Genetics of Disease and Bioinformatics. During my time at Stanford, I used Crispr/Cas9 genome editing to insert a functional copy of the GALC gene into hematopoietic stem cells for transplantation to correct the neurodegenerative Krabbe disease in the Gomez-Ospina Lab. I also explored the driving effects of bacterial and yeast competition in nectar flowers using computational methods in the Fukami Lab. I joined the University of Michigan Cancer Biology program in the Fall of 2023.

Research Interests

In the Angeles lab, I plan to explore the tumor microenvironment of our lab's novel transgenic, immunocompetent spontaneous liposarcoma mouse model which produces tumors with similar pathway regulation as human liposarcoma in order to inform therapy decisions for patients.
