Biography

I graduated from the University of Hamburg / Germany in 1991 with a medical degree.   I completed a postdoc at Johns Hopkins University Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics from 1992-1997.  This was followed by clinical training in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and in Oncology/Hematology at Johns Hopkins Oncology Center, with a brief research stint at Columbia University.  I joint the faculty of the University of Michigan in 2004.

Research Interests

The lab is studying the basic biology, genomics and targeted therapy of leukemia and lymphoma.
