My family and I relocated to Ann Arbor for my husband's position with the Children's Hospital (we are so lucky)! Before that I was trained as a developmental biologist at UCSF. My PhD thesis focused on the transcriptional regulation of cortical interneuron development and maturation.
In my new position, I will continue my research interest in neural development. At the same time, I will explore, and hopefully soon implement, new methodologies such as tissue multiplexing and high-resolution imaging to my research work.
I hope to gain a mentorship that guides me to my long-term career goal: combining bench work with clinical medicine from my Post Doc experience here at UMICH.
In my free time I love to hang out with my husband and my 3-year-old son while not at work. My little monkey energizes me and makes me so happy!
