Congratulations to María G. Castro (R. C. Schneider Collegiate Professor of Neurosurgery, Professor of Cell and Developmental Biology), Pedro Lowenstein (Richard C. Schneider Collegiate Professor of Neurosurgery, Professor of Cell and Developmental Biology) and Carol F. Elias (Professor of Molecular & Integrative Physiology, Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology) who are among the 24 newly-elected members of the Latin American Academy of Science.

The Latin American Academy of Science is composed of the best Hispanic American scientists around the world. Fellows are selected based on their outstanding contributions to research and innovation and are key to the Academy’s fundamental purpose of using science for the benefit of Latin America and the Caribbean.
