The mission of the Center for Cell Plasticity and Organ Design is to unite interdisciplinary research efforts towards understanding the basic mechanisms by which organs and tissues are formed and maintained and to use this knowledge to regenerate or create replacement tissues and organs, improve stem cell therapies and effective organ transplantation systems that will correct acquired and genetic human disease.
