Dr. Brown will be presenting the Specific Aims for her proposed K Award application entitled "Predictors of Readmission in Patients Undergoing Lobectomy for Lung Cancer." Dr. Amir Ghaferi is hosting Dr. Brown as the 2017 Carolyn E. Reed Traveling Fellowship Award by the Thoracic Surgery Foundation. This annual award, provided and adminsitered by the TSF, allows a clinically established woman thoracic or cardiac surgeon to travel to another institution for the purpose of learning a new skill or technology. It is a very prestigious and competitive award with only 1-2 recipients per year.
