DEI Statement

Diversity in the classroom and the workspace should be openly discussed and celebrated, and I strive to create an open, safe space in which team members and students feel free to express different ideas, opinions, and worldviews. This must be accompanied by the highest level of respect for one another. In my advising capacities, I encouraged my mentees to ponder the roles they might play in the alleviation of the vast inequities that continue to shape our world.

Research Interest

My research program is focused on the molecular underpinnings of HSC heterogeneity in normal and malignant hematopoiesis by focusing on novel GPRASP proteins. My long-term goal is to identify and characterize novel HSC regulators to improve therapeutic use of HSCs and to better understand malignant transformation.
