Contact Linda Peasley for further info.

The Department of Computational Medicine & Bioinformatics Retreat is an annual event that brings together faculty, students, fellows, and staff for a program of scientific discussion and social interactions.

Below are some details and instructions for the upcoming departmental retreat.  Please review!

  1. The retreat begins promptly at 4 pm on Friday!
  2. You may check into the hotel as early as 3 pm or at the 5-5:30 break.  Please check in at the hotel front desk (the DCMB staff can’t do this).
  3. Check out on Sunday is no later than noon.  For those riding the bus, you need to check out by 8:30 am.
  4. Attached is the final agenda – please note that Friday’s poster session will be even # posters and Saturday’s odd #’s.  POSTERS ARE TO BE UP BY 6 PM FRIDAY AND STAY UP UNTIL 2 PM ON SATURDAY.
  5. Attached is the list of those giving poster presentations and what your poster # is.
  6. If you would like Paul Trombley to print your poster, it needs to be to him no later than Wednesday, Sept 13th at noon!
  7. There will be a first, second and third place award given for posters (judged by our external guests)
  8. Attached is the rooming list so you know if and/or who your roommate is.  Those highlighted in blue are only staying over on Friday night.  For those staying the entire week-end, we have already prepaid.  Please do not leave early unless you have talked to me personally.
  9. Attached is the list of those that signed up to ride the bus.  The bus is a few over capacity at the moment so if you have made other arrangements, please let me know.  The bus will leave Palmer Commons promptly at 1 pm Friday and leave Maumee on Sunday to return to Ann Arbor promptly at 9 am.
  10. Attached is a map with the address so you can use your GPS (not the easiest place to find).
  11. Please note that we will once again hold a 5K run led by Indika Rajapakse early Saturday am.  You may walk or run this event!  Please meet at the flag pole in front of the venue at 7 am on Saturday.  We have medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
  12. Dress is casual.  The venue is right on Lake Erie so dress warm.  We will have a bonfire Friday night and it could be chilly.
  13. If you bring any of your own adults beverages, they must be consumed in your room.
  14. If anyone is vegan, please let me know by next Monday.
  15. Please note that we have confirmed all reservations.  If there are no shows, you or your PI will be asked to reimburse us.
