Step 3: Your Consultation and Scheduling Your First Treatment

Your initial visit will involve a consultation and evaluation with your CDLC physician, one of our knowledgeable board-certified dermatologists. Your physician will take the time to understand all of your cosmetic concerns and describe the treatment options available for you to achieve your personal appearance goals. Your safety and satisfaction are always our top concern, so you will also have the chance to discuss the limitations and potential risks of the procedures. Once you decide on a treatment plan, our CDLC Patient Services Associates will discuss the costs associated with each of your treatments and will schedule your first procedure appointment.

Step 4: Your First Treatment

The CDLC provides safe and effective treatment for cosmetic skin concerns via state-of-the-art techniques and laser technology. Our talented and skilled physicians provide private, personalized care and administer all procedures within a world-class medical facility. Our dedicated nursing staff will assist you before, during and after your procedures.

Step 5: Payment and Billing

Our CDLC Patient Services Associates will provide you with information about payment options and billing from Michigan Medicine. Payment must be made prior to, or at the time of treatment. Most insurance companies do not provide coverage for cosmetic treatments. However, certain laser treatments usually qualify as medically necessary (such as laser therapy for hemangiomas or port wine stain birthmarks) and we will assist you in obtaining authorization for coverage from your insurance carrier as needed. Payroll deduction is available for Michigan Medicine employees.
