Bryant Nolden wore many hats within the Flint community. At the time of his death in December 2022, Bryant served as the Executive Director for Friends of Berston Field House, which is a nonprofit organization in Flint that focuses on individual and community enrichment through education, athletics, the arts, and community service. He was also the 1st District Genessee County Commissioner. His previous roles included the 3rd Ward City Councilman/Vice President of City Council as well as a former 5th grade teacher for the Flint Public School System. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Central State University, Wilberforce, Ohio and a Master of Public Administration in Education Leadership, graduating with honors from the University of Michigan-Flint.

Up until his passing, Bryant's efforts contributed to the success of the Health Equity Core (HEC), which included providing a letter of support for the grant that started HEC. Additionally, Bryant consulted with us many times leading up to his role on the advisory board. He was always willing to make time to assist us in any way he could despite his full schedule. We will always be inspired by the level of Bryant's commitment to the Flint community.
