Biography

Deena Aboul-Hassan is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan where she is majoring in Movement Science on the Pre-Medical track. She has been a part of the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) and has enjoyed working on multiple research projects with the Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center Health Equity Core since Fall 2021. As an Arab-American, Deena is passionate about spreading cultural awareness and hopes to become a physician that provides quality care to underrepresented racial/ethnic groups. Outside of academics, she is an active member of the National Arab American Medical Association (NAAMA) where she serves as the Internal Administrative Chair. In her free time, she likes to stay physically active through figure skating, and is a competitor for the University of Michigan Figure Skating Club.
