Biography

Lillian Xiao is a senior at the University of Michigan where she is working towards obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree. She serves as a research assistant for the Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center Health Equity Core. As a student at the University of Michigan, Lillian is a member of the Great Lakes Pharmacy Conference student organization, where she serves as the Networking Chair and is also employed as a pharmacy technician intern at Michigan Medicine. Lillian first became interested in improving health equity during her sophomore year of college after joining a project that exposed her to social determinants of health in those with long COVID and has since contributed to other projects with a similar focus on health equity. Aiming to become a pharmacist in the future, Lillian believes that her knowledge on health equity will be crucial in advocating for the pharmacist’s role in addressing health disparities and improving public health.
