2019 UM Pain Short Course
Course objectives were:
- Learn how to manage chronic pain based on the underlying mechanism rather than the disease
- Understand the use of non-opioid analgesics in the management of chronic pain
- Learn how to use non-pharmacological therapies for the treatment of chronic pain
- Understand challenges in treating chronic pain in special populations including children, the elderly, and individuals with autoimmune disorders
