Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery

FLS is a comprehensive web-based education module for laparoscopic surgery that was designed for surgical residents, fellows and practicing physicians to learn, practice, measure and document laparoscopic skills. The FLS program content is CME accredited, has been endorsed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and is a joint educational offering of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and ACS.

The University of Michigan Clinical Simulation Center (CSC) is a Midwest Region test center for the FLS exam. Clinicians both within and outside the University of Michigan Health System may take the test at the CSC. The CSC schedules time slots in two-hour increments.

PLEASE NOTE: You must register for the FLS Exam through SAGES. Please visit the FLS Program Website or consult the Exam Registration Guide for step-by-step instructions on how to register.

Once your appointment is confirmed, please bring the following to the FLS Testing Session:

    1. FLS Test Taker Authorization Code
    2. FLS Test Taker Voucher with Voucher #
    3. Photo I.D.

The test cannot be administered without these three items!
