CSC Featured at Regents' and President's Tailgate

Tailgate guests get a rare hands-on medical training experience at several simulation stations provided by the UM Clinical Simulation Center (CSC).

On the morning of November 25th, before the Wolverines versus Buckeyes game got underway, attendees at the Regents' and President's tailgate were treated to a unique display of 21st century medical simulation devices to show how the Clinical Simulation Center (CSC) plays a vital role in training future medical providers while also increasing patient safety.

With expert guidance from the CSC faculty and staff, guests and their children were able to use the Adult Resuscitation manikin, try out the new high-fidelity obstetrics model and streamlined ultrasound machine made possible by recent donations, and even play with the Laparoscopic Touchdown Challenge - a game using laparoscopic technology designed specifically for the occasion by Dr. Oliver Varban.

The packed event was the perfect place to highlight why the Clinical Simulation Center Simulation Fund tops list of UM Medical School giving opportunities.
