Areas of Interest
While working on her undergrad, Ally did research at the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research. Where she learned how to use interdisciplinary approaches to address current research challenges. She is currently working on a Ph.D. in the UM Cancer Biology program and is interested in acquiring multi-disciplinary training. She has collaborated with Dr. Joerg Lahann in chemical engineering to use their ex vivo 3D scaffolding model, Dr. Alexey Nesvizhskii on proteomics studies, and Dr. Evan Keller on in vivo bone metastasis models. While at UM she applied for and was granted a spot on the Proteomics Informatics in cancer Training Program T32 and immediately saw the potential of using proteomics and cancer biology together to answer complicated questions.
