Areas of Interest
My colleagues from Dr. Guan’s lab and I are focusing on applying frontier machine learning models, including Deep Convolutional Neural Network(DCNN), Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM) Neural Network, Random Forest and Gradient Boosting, to solve interesting biomedical problems. We have developed a DCNN based algorithm in extracting digital marker to diagnose Parkinson’s Disease from the walking movement recorded by smartphone from populartion, which is the 1st place solution in 2017 PDDB DREAM challenge. Meanwhile, we’re also interested in elucidating the complexity of changes in genome during evolution by deep learning strategies.
