Areas of Interest
Dr. Jonathan Gryak is the Research Manager of the Biomedical and Clinical Informatics Lab and a Lecturer III in the Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics at the University of Michigan. He earned his PhD and MPhil in Computer Science from the City University of New York, a MS in Mathematics from Fairfield University, and a dual BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Gryak has worked for both private and public entities as a network engineering and cybersecurity consultant, and was previously the Infrastructure Manager of the Westport Public Schools in Westport, CT.
Dr. Gryak's research interests are broadly within theoretical computer science, with a focus on machine learning, cryptography, and computational group theory, and well as computational medicine and computer networking/network security.
