New publication “The 4D Nucleome” by Thomas Reid & Indika Rajapakse published in July 2017 Methods.

The 4D Nucleome (4DN) refers to the dynamical relationships among nuclear structures, the transcriptional landscapes, and cellular phenotypes.

We believe that a comprehensive understanding of any complex biological system depends on recognizing its dynamical structure-function relationships from molecular to global scales. This requires knowledge of how genetic and epigenetic changes affect the 4D organization of chromosomes and the tightly controlled transcriptional equilibrium in development, cellular differentiation, and in disease.
