Elisa Warner Receives an NSF Travel Grant to Attend the 2018 Connections in Smart Health Workshop

National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded Elisa Warner, a first year Ph.D. student in the Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics, a student travel grant to attend the 2018 Connections in Smart Health Workshop.

To apply for this grant, Warner submitted a short proposal on the computational algorithms for early detection of sepsis and other complex medical complications to NSF. This year NSF received 33 applications for the travel awards and through a highly selective process accepted only 10. The Student Travel Award will cover the travel costs up to $1200 total. Further information regarding this workshop can be found here.

Congratulation to Elisa!
