Areas of Interest

My research is focused on developing statistical and computational methods to address interesting biological problems in genetic and genomic studies. These studies often involve large-scale and high-dimensional data sets, and examples include genome-wide association studies and functional genomic sequencing studies (RNAseq, ChIPseq etc.). Through developing novel analytic methods to extract important information from these data, I hope to advance our understanding of the genetic basis of phenotypic variation for various quantitative traits and complex diseases.
