Biography
Dr. Emily Smith is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Departments of Dermatology and Pathology at the University of Michigan. She is a board-certified dermatologist and board-certified dermatopathologist, who sees patients with skin cancer in the UM Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Oncology Clinic at the Taubman Center in Ann Arbor.
Dr. Smith received her medical degree from University of Missouri School of Medicine in Colombia, Missouri. Following graduation, she completed a transitional year internship at St. Joseph Mercy Health System, followed by her dermatology residency and dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Michigan. Upon completion of her training, Dr. Smith returned to Missouri and joined the clinical faculty at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where she held several administrative positions, including director of cutaneous oncology in the Department of Dermatology. In 2022, Dr. Smith returned to Michigan to serve as a faculty member in the Michigan Medicine Departments of Dermatology and Pathology.
