Dr. John Voorhees Recognized by MICHR Distinguished Mentor Award

The Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR) has selected Dr. John Voorhees to receive a 2020 MICHR Distinguished Clinical and Translational Research Mentor Award.

The Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR) has selected Dr. John Voorhees to receive a 2020 MICHR Distinguished Clinical and Translational Research Mentor Award.  Dr. Voorhees was nominated by several of his past and current mentees for his dedicated mentoring and scientific leadership. This award recognizes individuals who have met the highest standard for clinical and translational research mentorship. The pool of nominees represented a diverse group of U-M units, including Dentistry, Engineering, Ford School of Public Policy, Institute for Survey Research, Medicine, Public Health, and Social Work. 

Awardees will be honored at a ceremony during the 2021 Mentoring Forum on November 15, 2021. 

The award was established in 2012 to recognize faculty who foster the intellectual, creative, scholarly, and professional growth of their students, fellows, and trainees in the areas of clinical and translational health and research.
