The University of Michigan has outstanding clinicians and researchers in diabetes, metabolic disorders, and their complications. The Elizabeth Weiser Caswell Diabetes Institute serves as the central hub to coordinate these programs. We work across disciplines and serve to integrate rigorous science with patient-centered clinical care to prevent, treat, and ultimately cure diabetes and related disorders.
MDiabetes is now the Elizabeth Weiser Caswell Diabetes Institute
The Elizabeth Weiser Caswell Diabetes Institute supplants the Michigan Diabetes Center (MDiabetes), and will continue to be led by Director Martin G. Myers, Jr., M.D., Ph.D. and Managing Director, Dorene S. Markel, M.S., M.H.S.A. Learn more about the gift that establishes the new institute here.
