Biography

Dr. Christine Brent is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan. After graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Biology from the University of Notre Dame, she completed both medical school and a residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services/prehospital medicine at the University of Cincinnati, with a focus on critical care air transport. Double board certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services, Dr. Brent joined the University of Michigan Emergency Medicine faculty in September of 2017 as assistant medical director of Survival Flight.  She leads both the EMS track and the EMS elective for EM residents interested in prehospital care, and has recently designed and obtained ACGME accredition for a new University of Michigan EMS fellowship to start in July of 2020.  Dr. Brent also serves as the co-deputy director of the Washtenaw County/Livingston County Medical Control Authority and participates in many local, regional and state EMS committees. She is an IFR-rated private pilot who lives in Ann Arbor with her husband and son.
