Wilderness Medicine Interest Group

The mission of the Wilderness Medicine Student Interest Group is to provide fundamental knowledge and foster interest in wilderness medicine for the University of Michigan medical students.

Our activities include multiple talks and workshops throughout the year with topics including: improvised splinting, improvised litters, heat and cold injury treatment, wound care, search & rescue, emergency incident response, and ultrasound in the resource limited environment.
