Residency

Making a Difference at Michigan - be a part of it.

The emergency medicine residency program at the University of Michigan Medical School is a four-year, comprehensive program that provides a multitude of experiences in emergency situations and environments.

We train, teach and mentor in three different hospitals, in ambulances and helicopters, and in the wilderness.

Our goal is to provide residents with the best possible training experience, yet is flexible enough to allow residents the opportunity to gain in-depth experience in an area of personal interest. You'll be prepared to move right into a fellowship or become an attending physician in an area of expertise.
