Dr. Sefa is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Michigan Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School and his Masters in Public Health at the University of Michigan, School of Public Health. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and did his Critical Care fellowship with the Harvard-Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
His research interests are in cardiac arrest outcomes, patient flow and transitions between the emergency department and intensive care units. He is also interested in the development of critical care in low and middle income countries.
