Dr. Robert Neumar, has been elected to the National Academy of Medicine (formerly the Institute of Medicine) for his many contributions to the science of resuscitation, emergency cardiac care and neuroprotection in the face of ischemia or injury. He is an international expert in this field and a leader in the American Heart Association’s efforts to save lives through advances in the care of the patient in cardiac arrest.
