Congratulations to Dr. Smith on his appointment as Medical Director for SWAT. Beginning July 1, Dr. Smith will provide oversight for the clinical care related to critical care transport, telemetry patients requiring transport, and moderate sedation that occurs in the inpatient and outpatient sector in collaboration with the nursing director for SWAT. SWAT nurses and paramedics provide wide-ranging care to multiple patient populations spanning general care to critically ill intensive care patients across the spectrum of age and disciplines across the health system.
