Biography

Hello! My name is Cullen Salada and I'm from Galesburg, MI (right between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek). I received my undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, earning my bachelor’s degree in Movement Science. From Ann Arbor I headed west to Grand Rapids, MI where I attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Although I enjoyed my time as a Spartan, I could not abandon my roots as a Wolverine and was thrilled when I had the opportunity to return to Ann Arbor to continue my medical training as a family physician!

I was drawn to family medicine for its holistic view on patient care. I feel that it's incredibly important to view a patient as a whole-person and develop strong continuity of care. During my residency interview trail, the University of Michigan stood out as exceptional in its intellectual rigor, vast procedural experience, and wide scope of interesting pathology and patient cases, all while delivering excellent and compassionate patient care.

Outside of medicine I enjoy sports, exercising, cooking, reading, and Michigan's craft beer scene. In Michigan’s warm months, I like to spend time outside with my dog (Maisie), and my partner, Katherine. Finally, I have a unique obsession with Florida State football (GO NOLES!).
