Hi! My name is Ethan. I'm a lifelong Michigander, having grown up in Gaylord, MI, spending my childhood enjoying beautiful Northern Michigan. I moved even further north to the Upper Peninsula for my undergraduate education at Northern Michigan University, where I majored in Ecology. My experiences with healthcare disparities in rural Michigan led me to pursue a career in medicine, which brought me to the University of Michigan for medical school. While at medical school, my involvement with the Student-Run Free Clinic inspired me to pursue a career in both primary care and the care of underserved populations, and the diverse interests and educational commitment of the Family Medicine Department at UM convinced me that Ann Arbor was the best place for me to train. My hobbies include hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities, especially in Northern Michigan. I also enjoy cooking and watching University of Michigan and Detroit sports.
