Biography

Hi everyone! My name is Ken Smythe and I was born and raised in Detroit. I went to UMich for undergrad and MSUCHM for medical school. I love family medicine because I can build relationships with my patients over time, and because I will be able to diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical problems. I am a lifelong Michigan fan and have spent so much time at the hospital, both as a volunteer and research assistant before medical school. It is surreal to be returning for my residency training and am so excited to be here! When not in the hospital, my wife and I love to be outside, either hiking with our dog Posey or exploring trails around the world.
