Biography
Dr. Velez received her medical degree at the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After her family practice residency at North Oakland Medical Center in Pontiac, Mich., she completed additional fellowship training in primary care faculty development at Michigan State University, and a geriatrics medicine fellowship at U-M. Dr. Velez speaks English and Spanish, and enjoys music, and travel. She has a special clinical interest in cognitive disorders, diabetes, stroke and geriatric medicine.
